🌋 GLOBE – Volcanic Risk and Global Change

GLOBE is an interdisciplinary research group based at Geosciences Barcelona (GEO3BCN–CSIC) and the Faculty of Earth Sciences of the University of Barcelona (UB). We investigate volcanic systems, climate variability, and environmental change to improve hazard assessment, territorial resilience, and decision-making in regions exposed to natural risks.

By combining field research, laboratory analysis, and advanced computational modelling supported by High Performance Computing and artificial intelligence, we develop innovative tools for forecasting, risk reduction, and climate adaptation.

Our work bridges science, policy, and society — transforming geoscientific knowledge into practical applications that contribute to safer, more sustainable, and climate-resilient territories.
